100 Truths

I was tagged by the lovely Sophie at Wifemotherlife to complete the 100 truths questionnaire about myself. These types of posts are normally a bit of fun getting to know the person behind the keyboard. I loved reading Sophie’s which you can find here.

I started answering them for myself to share with you all and, being totally truthful, felt that most of these things regular readers would know, and others would simply highlight my middle of the road existence thus far (that’s a whole separate post which will be coming soon!). So, I have answered a few, and copied the full set below in case anyone else would like to join in and answer any in the comments! I’d actually love to know more about you all, where you come from, your hopes and dreams!

Anyway, onto the questions. The ones that I have answered I have consolidated into prose for ease of reading, and perhaps even for ease of writing too. I hope that you won’t mind it’s not quite on the track of an interview style post. Many I have missed out completely, I like to keep a little mystery…! So, breaking the rules entirely, may I present…

100(ish) truths

You’ll all know me as Jo. I live with my husband, our three sons and multiple family pets in Warwickshire. We live on the edge of the countryside but close to town life too, which suits us perfectly. Before children my husband and I were enthusiastic about travel and live music. These passions have waned slightly since we started our family. Now that we are out of the nappy stages of parenthood though I feel that perhaps we might be able to gently start them up again with our boys in tow. Regular readers will know that we caught The Snowman Tour last year and that we are hoping to travel more with our boys over the coming months. So, some things are already in action on that front!

A few more nuggets:

I started my blog because a dream of mine for as long as I can remember was to write. So one day I did. I haven’t looked back, and I thoroughly enjoy every moment of this journey that I’m on. Over the course of the past 12 months I’ve learnt a lot about the technical side to running your own website and becoming self-employed, along with learning a lot about myself. I’m determined, I’m focused and I’m dedicated. My husband, one of the cleverest people I know, says that he admires my enthusiasm, passion, commitment and general work ethic. He sometimes adds that he likes my writing too 😉 .

I don’t have any piercings or tattoos. I’d love to get “Omne trium perfectum” tattooed somewhere, I’m just not sure where. And why that phrase you ask? I’m one of three and I have three children. Both my parents are one of three. I think that there is something very special about that number.

I am quite a spiritual person but I don’t identify with a specific religion. I think I still have lots more to learn on that subject!

I am a happy person, mostly. There are things in life that try my patience, swallow up my energy and occupy my brain more than I should let them. But on the whole I try to lead a very honest and respectful life. I love talking to others and hearing their stories. I believe that recognising our differences is what makes us stronger and more thoughtful.

In five years time? I’d like to be right here. Still tapping into my keyboard, my wonderful family and friends either right by my side or only a touch of a button away. I hope to have travelled more and been to more music concerts, especially classical music. I do miss those. I hope that my boys are happy and that we continue to make good choices with them for their education and personal development as they move through their childhood.

So that’s pretty much me. Or as much of me as I think I need to share right now!

What about you? I’d love you to introduce yourselves!
