Emma Lord Photography has featured on my blog a few times before. I love her work and the way she approaches each photography session with ease and professionalism, making it so calm.
Emma is still running her photography sessions, but this year she also set up her own Etsy store so that you can get your hands on her own fabulous prints or products too.
Emma kindly gifted me a bag for purposes of this review, and loaned me a second so I could take a really good look at them! They are well made and the print quality is good, but over and above that the images are so unique I think you would be hard pushed to find anything quite the same. They really stand out.
Emma’s ‘Making Friends’ shot of a cat nose to nose with a hedgehog is my all time photograph of hers, with the Peggy the Pig portrait coming in a close second. I also love the fox portrait. The photographs of Peggy, the fox, owl and a black cat were shipped over to an exhibition in China last year and it’s not hard to see why these prints and photos are so popular, they are superb. Taken as part of her work volunteering with rescued wildlife the animals were not disturbed whilst the photographs were taken, but the results are astonishing. The cat photographs are from Emma’s own collection and are largely of ex-rescue animals now happily living in their forever homes.
The bags that I’ve taken a look at for the purposes of the gift guide are a good size, measuring approximately 43cm x 38cm with a zipped top. I especially love the zip detail. It’s nice to have a bag that can fold away if needed but still be secure when used. That said, I’m not sure if I’ll see mine again very soon, it seems that Munch is very excited to have the ‘Making Friends’ photo on a bag too and I can quite see that we might have to share it!
N.B. I was gifted one bag and loaned another for the purposes of this post. All thoughts are my own. For more information please see my disclosure page.
