Hopping Hare Candles

Hopping Hare Candle ChristmasIf you read my blog regularly or follow me on social media you may have guessed that I am completely taken with these candles! They just had to have a place on my gift guide.

Handpoured Claire and her sister Justine work so hard to get the combination of oils right and use a high percentage of oil in each candle so that the scent is perfect and continues throughout the burning of the candle evenly. Claire explained in a previous post that if you use less oil it tends to be drawn up so it might smell lovely whilst unlit, but the scent might not last for the full life of the candle.

I have been very impressed with the refillable candle holder that Claire gifted me recently too (if you’re quick you could be in with a chance of winning one – head over to enter now!).

Claire and Justine use rapeseed wax which is non GM. The environmental impact is less than some other waxes, but also it burns best and lasts longest. No attention to detail such as this is spared with these candles and each one is lovingly handmade.

Hopping Hare Candles stallIf you’re not completely sure about a scent then Hopping Hare Candles offer a super tealight service where you can try before you buy to make sure that the scent you are getting is the perfect one for you and your home. I would highly recommend the Relaxing scent which is great at this time of year with energy levels running low and stress levels creeping up. It even calms our boys and the dog down! Claire and Justine do have seasonal scents too though, be sure to take a look on their website, and even have a look to see if they might be coming to a craft market near you over the festive period.

N.B. I was gifted the candle photographed but all opinions are my own. For more information please see my disclosure page.
